Ahh..sleep!

With Hudson being sick he hasn't slept well the past few nights...some nights he didn't sleep at all. Last night he went to bed about 10:45 and it was a little after 8:00 when I started hearing him "talking and jabbering" in his crib. I just let him do that for a minute and was about to get him up when he was silent again...so of course I went to check on him. This is the precious sight that I found...

He had fallen back to sleep and was sucking on his passy. It didn't last long but I am so glad that I got a chance to snap a picture. He has been in a very good mood all morning which is such a relieve since he was not happy earlier in the week. I love sweet moments like these with our sweet boy:)

It's Thursday....

It's already Thursday again so here are a few things I am thankful for today:

1. Sleeping babies...Now that Hudson is doing better at nap time I can use this time to update the blog.
2. Ella Kate...my wonderful niece who is staying with us this week while her mommy and daddy go on a winter vacation to Colorado. She has been so good and I am loving every minute of having her here. My mom has helped us when she gets off work and I have had a little help from Cherith's mom and dad so I am very thankful for that.
3. Doctors...Todd and Hudson have both had awful colds this week so Todd finally went to the free Clinic at Freed on Monday(he can now that he is in Grad school...yay). The Children's clinic was closed yesterday so I took Hudson to another clinic her in town. I am thankful we have doctors that can prescibe medicine or in Todds case give shots and make you all better:)
4.Snow Days...We were lucky this week and Todd was out for two snow days. We enjoyed our time at home
5. A husband that cleans....enough said!
6. Power..I know so many people are without power due to winter storms so I am very thankful we have power.
7. Pictures...I love taking pictures and enjoys looking at old ones.
8. Sleep...I feel like I haven't gotten enough of it lately so I thankful for every chance I get.
9. Computers..that allow us to blog, facebook and email so that we can keep in touch with friends and family who live far away.
10. You...if you are reading this you are important to me and thanks for checking up on our family:)

Big Boy

I just had to share this new picture of our big boy. Hudson is growing so fast. He is almost five months old. He has been turning over since the first of December and has been "army crawling" as his daddy calls it. Everyday he does something new or has a new laugh or smile. We moved him into his crib while Todd was out for Christmas break....I just can't believe how fast time flies. We are loving every minute with our baby boy!

25 Things.....

All my blogger friends have been doing this and I finally got tagged. So I am going to tell you twenty five things you may or may not know about me or you may not really care to know but I am going to tell you anyways.

1. I love God...without him I would be nothing:)

2. Todd and I met at Freed-Hardeman in the fall of 2003. I like to say it was love at first sight but we definitely had our rough patches. We spent about six months apart and decided to give it one more try and Todd proposed December 2006 and we got married July 2007....most amazing day ever! I love my husband, he is my best friend.

3. We found out on Christmas day last year that we were pregnant with Hudson. We obviously didn't know at the time it was a boy but I just knew I was having a boy so it was no surprise to me!

4. I LOVE my son. He is the cutest baby ever and I could not imagine my life without him. The best Christmas present EVER!!

5. I have been blessed with an amazing family. I was raised by two amazing parents who would do anything for me and my two older brothers would kill for me....seriously...so don't mess with me:)

6. I am a stay at home mom and I love it:) I will say there are days when I wouldn't mind having a "real job" but I wouldn't trade being at home with Hudson for anything.

7. My goal is to eventually go back to school to become a nurse. It is a life long dream I have had and I have always let something get in the way and I hope to eventually accomplish it.

8. Our dog Gracelyn is and always will be my first Child. She is the coolest dog ever.

9. I absolutely love my niece Ella Kate. She was 6 weeks premature and was born just ten days before Todd and I got married. It was pretty crazy. She holds a VERY special place in my heart:)

10. I miss my "Pop" Miller and "PaPaw" Farris....there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of them.

11. I have just started reading the Twilight Series. I haven't gotten too far into it yet but I can't wait.

12. I HAVE to go to Paris before I die.

13. My favorite vacation would have to be my Spring Break trip to New York with my Aunt Judy. I am so thankful that I had to opportunity to go....thanks to my cousin Katie Beth deciding two weeks before the trip she didn't want to go. I had so much fun and I can't wait to go back.

14. I have a HUGE fear of moths. Long story....ask me and I will tell.

15. I have lots of regrets from my college years...But I guess we learn from our mistakes.

16. I was in two winning Makin' Music shows while at FHU. Sigma Rho's Tee'd Off and What's the Verdict!!

17. I love the going to the lake...I enjoy wake boarding although I haven't since before I was pregnant so I am anxious to see if I still can.

18. When I was 4 or 5 I busted my chin jumping in backwards in a swimming pool. Ouch...it hurts just thinking about it.

19. I am a HUGE Tennessee fan and Todd likes Alabama.....things are pretty interesting at our house during football season.

20. I have never broken a bone...knock on wood.

21. I love Lifetime Movie Network...I could watch it all day long.

22. I enjoy getting my nails done. I used to keep them prettied up all the time....but now I have to buy diapers and formula:)

23. I love our Wii...I try to work out on the Fit everyday. The Hula Hoop seems to be my specialty and the only record of mine Todd hasn't broken.

24. I am not very good at these things:)

25. I pray that I lead a life pleasing to God and that helps me get to Heaven.

If you are reading this and haven't told us "25 things about you" it's your turn!

Thankful Thursdays!

My friend Becky does this every Thursday so I thought I would give it a try. It also gives me time to reflect on the many things that I am thankful for. Since I have done a bad job updating the blog this would give me an opportunity to do that too.

God-I thank HIM for giving me ALL these things to be thankful for!
My family-They are pretty amazing
Being a Mommy-My life is forever changed!
My Husband-I am so thankful that he works so hard to support us. I am forever grateful to him for going along with the idea of moving back to Tennessee and he tried so hard to get a job here so that we could.
Staying home with my baby-God blessed me with the opportunity to stay home with Hudson. I get to baby-sit a very precious little girl Kealeigh which allows me to stay home with Hudson but still help out a little financially. She and her parents mean so much to me.
Thursdays-Several other moms get together at church and let their kids play. I have started going just as a chance to get out of the house and have time with other mommies and Kealeigh loves playing with all the other kids.
Tennessee-I have always loved being a Tennessean but I didn't realize how much until I lived in Missouri for a year. I am so glad to be HOME!
Friends-I am blessed with some wonderful friends. Some of them are here and some are other places but I love every single one of them. I wish I could see the ones that live away more but I take advantage of ever opportunity I have to do so. They are amazing and I am so so blessed.
Sweet Tea-It's just my favorite and I have been sipping on some all morning.
Los Portales-Another favorite and I am pretty pumped that we now we have one in little ole' Henderson...yay!!
Gracelyn-Our three year old Lhasa. She is my baby and she knows it. If I am in the room she is right with me and if I leave the room she follows. I think she is pretty great!
Our house-When we moved we searched and searched for the perfect house..that we could afford. We were very lucky and found a foreclosure that needed some work but was an amazing price. So THANKS to Todd and my dad we got new ceremic floors and carpet and with help from my mom, Rachel, Mrs. Dorothy and Mrs Jaquita we got all the rooms painted. It is perfect.
Now it's your turn to do the same......

Tennesee Christmas

We headed back to Henderson on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas with my family. It was so nice to have everyone together for the Holidays. Chad and Brandy came in on Tuesday and we loved having them home for Christmas. This was there first Christmas home in a LONG time so we were so glad they spent a few days with us. It was also fun to have them here for Hudson's first Christmas and they loved watching Ella Kate open all her presents too. We enjoyed lots of family time and Brandy, Cherith and I even enjoyed getting to go see the movie Twilight. They had both read the books but I on the other hand had not but we all loved the movie...so I plan on starting the series real soon:) I loved everything about Christmas this year. Here are a few pics of Christmas time in Tennessee.

Uncle Chad working hard on Christmas Eve putting EK's new stroller, bassinet and carrier together for her baby.

Hudson with all his presents. He got lots of clothes from mommy and daddy, a portable booster seat from Uncle Chad and Aunt Brandy and a basketball goal from Nana and Poppa and a Champs Sports Center from Uncle Zack, Aunt Cherith and Ella Kate. He got lots of little surprises from Santa too:) He was so blessed this Christmas.

One last Christmas picture of our sweet Christmas baby! We bought this outfit for him last year the day after Christmas. Since we found out on Christmas Day that I was pregnant I thought it was the perfect first outfit for him:) We are so so thankful for our sweet boy and I am so proud to be his mommy and that God chose me for him. I love him more and more everyday!

Catching up....

Yes...Santa did come to see us this year...I am just behind on telling you all about it. Hudson had an amazing first Christmas and we enjoyed our first Christmas with him and our second married Christmas. We started off the festivities celebrating with my moms side of the family at my aunt and uncle's cabin. We always enjoy Christmas with all the cousins (we missed the ones that live too far away to come). We usually have a big meal and then play some "dirty Santa" which you can imagine can get pretty dirty especially with the men in the family. They usually plot together to get what they all want and then trade and it gets to be pretty amusing. This year the hot item was some sort of hand drill and reed diffusers. We had lots of fun and enjoyed getting to spend time with all the "Nashville" Family. Here is a picture of Hudson opening his present from GiGi at family Christmas.

Next, we headed to Missouri and spend the first half of the week with Todds family. We enjoyed getting to see friends and spend time with Granmomma and Grandaddy Lewis and Byron and Jennifer. We enjoyed some last minute shopping and took Hudson to visit Santa and of course lots of Todds moms wonderful cooking. I also got to visit with all my Castlio girls for lunch on Tuesday so that was a nice ending to our visit. We did Christmas with them on Tuesday night before leaving on Wednesday.

Hudson with his new Glow Worm. He really loves to look at it.

Baby presents for Jennifer and Byron:) You guessed it...there is going to be another Lewis baby in the family Next Christmas. She is due the middle of July and we are so so excited for them. Todds parents are beside themselves now that they are going to have a second grandchild. God has truly blessed us and we are so thankful.

Hudson was so sweet sleeping in front of all the presents and the tree.
